Dynamic QR code: editable after printing

The most expensive QR mistake: printing 10,000 packages and watching the destination die. Dynamic QR fixes exactly that.

In short

A static QR code always points to the same address and cannot be changed after printing. A QRL.md dynamic QR points to a short link, so the destination can be changed anytime — without reprinting the code. Dynamic QR is part of the Business plan (299 MDL/month) of the platform operated by Intelectsoft SRL; creating static QRs and short links remains free, without an account.

Static or dynamic — which do you need?

Static is enough when the destination will never change: a Wi-Fi code, a vCard, a permanent page. Create it free on qrl.md, download PNG/SVG, done.

Dynamic becomes mandatory the moment the code lands on print — packaging, menus, posters, fleet stickers. Campaigns change, products move to new URLs, sites get restructured: with a dynamic QR you change the destination from the cabinet, and every already-printed code keeps working.

What else a QRL dynamic QR can do

  • Password protection and expiration policies — control who accesses it and until when.
  • Advanced analytics — scans by country, device, browser, source, in real time.
  • Branded domains — your code, on your domain.
  • Smart Routing — the same code behaves differently per scanner: details.

Visual customization

Straight from the builder: module styles (classic, rounded, dots), error-correction level (L, M, Q, H), color, rounded eyes and a center logo — exported as PNG or SVG for print.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a static and a dynamic QR code?

A static QR always points to the same address and can't be changed after printing. A dynamic QR points to a QRL.md short link, so the destination changes anytime without reprinting. Dynamic is part of the Business plan.

Can I fix an already-printed QR that leads to a dead page?

If it's a QRL dynamic QR — yes: change the destination in the cabinet and every printed code works again. A static one can't be changed — which is why printed materials should use dynamic QR.

Can I put my logo inside the QR?

Yes — the builder supports a center logo, colors and module styles; error correction up to level H keeps the code scannable.

Is a dynamic QR slower to scan?

Not noticeably — the scan passes through the QRL short link, and the infrastructure is built for millions of redirects with high availability.
